TabTrade Overview - What to Know Before You Sign Up

The Broker - The Short Version

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.

His background tells you something. It means the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. But better than a founder with no industry background.

They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.

Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For something that is a few months old, that range is not narrow.

What You Trade On

They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Many only give you one or the other. Getting both is useful. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, EAs, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people find it more natural once they try it.

FIX API is there for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it lands.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Good for beginners.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. TabTrade has no minimum.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

How Fast Are the Fills

The speed is the thing TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.

Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.

Pair that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.

The FSRA Question

Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But inform how you think about it.

What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that is worth it depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You put money in, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you commit.
